Ingram Micro has been named the distributor of Adobe software in New Zealand following a successful bidding process.
Ingram Micro will help drive the uptake of Adobe's VIP and Partner Connection channel program.
Adobe's head of channel Muralee Kanagaratnam said Ingram Micro's bid was successful due to the company's support in Adobe's transition to cloud-based software.
“Ingram Micro offered innovative solutions around the integration of automated systems, the opportunity to leverage existing partnerships and capability for reseller and end user training," Kanagarantnam.
Globally Australia and New Zealand lead in the adoption of Creative Cloud for teams. Kanagarantnam said in the fourth quarter of 2013, 82 percent of New Zealand customers purchased the cloud suite over its perpetual 'box' alternative, compared to the worldwide average of 57 percent,
Ingram Micro’s Managing Director for New Zealand, Gary Bigwood, said Adobe "is a very important brand to have in our portfolio and there is real synergy with many of our other product sets."
