Ingram Micro to distribute load balancing vendor Kemp Technologies

Ingram Micro has continued adding new vendors to its portfolio, this time with application delivery software from Kemp Technologies.

Ingram general manager for software Kelly Johnson noted that Kemp is fully accredited with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, and is also strong in hypervisor deployments.

“Resellers will benefit from the ability to offer flexible options for their clients," Johnson said.

"In addition to traditional licensing for software, cloud, hardware and bare metal, Kemp provides metered licensing for enterprise and service providers. This means that clients only pay for their usage, making this an incredibly cost-effective option when compared to large traditional deployments.”

Kemp country manager Luke Holland said the vendor had identified opportunities in federal government, service providers and retail in addition to its traditional enterprise customer base.

“The demand for Kemp’s application delivery products and services has grown rapidly in Australia and New Zealand over the past three years, as companies look for solutions that can provide an elastic and scalable ADC model for their demanding business needs," Holland said.

"Partnering with Ingram Micro allows us to grow with a well-established and trusted partner.”

Ingram will join Kemp's other two Australian distributors Sapply and Rhipe, the latter of which was selected to go to market with the vendor's load balancing and ADC technology.

The distie has signed on a handful of vendors so far this year, including mobile security provider Lookout, Australian cloud security vendor FirstWave, email security vendor RPost, ruggedised devices vendor Global Communications and remote access vendor NetConnect.
