Ingram Micro has partnered with US-based startup Lookout Mobile Security, extending its current US agreement to Australia and New Zealand.
Lookout provides mobile device security, with features including endpoint security, identity and device theft protection and threat intelligence.
“Lookout provides an enterprise-level solution that operates in the cloud and is continuously analysing data and trends for possible attacks without interfering with the regular operation of the device,” Ingram Micro Australia general manager of cloud services Lee Welch said.
“Both easy to use and highly praised for its unmatched mobile dataset, Lookout security is the ideal solution for businesses wanting to reduce this risk while minimising the impact on their mobile users.”
Lookout senior vice president of international G-J Schenk said that the Australia and New Zealand agreement was a logical extension of the current US partnership.
"Given our partnership with Ingram Micro in North America, it made sense to expand our relationship to the strategically important region of Australia and New Zealand," Schenk said.
“The Lookout approach creates trust with channel partners, provides access to important services and integration skills within the channel, offers a route into new customers, and gives Lookout the flexibility to align with the business models of different partner types.”
He added that Lookout is exclusively facilitated through channel partners, so the relationship with Ingram Micro can help “secure enterprise mobility.”
