Inabox has continued its acquisition spree by buying Perth-based managed IT and cloud services provider Logic Communications for $1.5 million.
Founded in 2006, Logic Communications offers premium internet services, managed IT, VoIP and cloud services. Logic's customers will gain access to Inabox's suite of ICT products and services, including access to 4G mobile services on Telstra's network.
Logic will bring more than 74 clients to build on Inabox's footprint in WA, which already includes education and health clients in Perth. It will also double Inabox's engineering headcount in WA with 14 new engineers.
Chief executive Damian Kay said the latest acquisition positioned Inabox to be a strong alternative in WA as a full-service provider to the SME market.
“This acquisition provides an opportunity for Perth-based SMEs to deal locally with a national company that provides the full suite of IT services," he said.
“Inabox’s Perth branch has been one of the quiet achievers, however, through this acquisition has announced itself as one of the go-to full service IT, cloud and telco providers."
Logic is expected to bring in excess of $1 million in earnings for the 2018 financial year after synergies.
This marks the second acquisition for Inabox this year. Last month, the company acquired managed cloud hosting firm Hostworks for $7 million, giving Inabox the ability to manage enterprise-scale transfers of information to the cloud.
In 2014, Inabox made headlines when it acquired Anittel for up to $10 million, paving its move into IT and cloud services.
Inabox made another acquisition in 2015 by buying the assets and customer base of AAPT wholesaler CloudXchange.
