SailPoint launches unified identity security for human, non-human and AI agent identities

In summary

  • SailPoint has launched SailPoint Identity Security, a unified solution combining the newly generally available SailPoint Agentic Fabric with SailPoint Human Fabric and powered by its Atlas platform.
  • SailPoint Human Fabric, now delivered exclusively within the unified solution, shifts human identity governance from scheduled audits to continuous, real-time security posture via capabilities such as Just-In-Time Provisioning.
  • SailPoint Agentic Fabric, available standalone or as part of the unified offering, uses SEAS and SBAS sensors plus inline prompt security and a kill-switch to control machine and AI identities.

SailPoint has launched what it describes as a unified identity security solution spanning human, non-human and AI agent identities, combining the newly generally available SailPoint Agentic Fabric with SailPoint Human Fabric - an evolution of its Identity Security Cloud platform.

The combined offering, branded SailPoint Identity Security and powered by the company's Atlas platform, is designed to give security teams a continuous, real-time loop to discover, govern and protect identities across increasingly complex enterprise environments.

SailPoint Human Fabric is now delivered exclusively as part of the unified solution. The company said it moves human identity governance from scheduled, static audit processes to a continuous, real-time security posture.

Key capabilities include automatic detection of privilege creep, real-time identity context fed directly into security operations centre workflows, and Just-In-Time Provisioning (JIT-P), which grants administrative access only for the duration a task requires - a model SailPoint describes as Zero Standing Privilege.

SailPoint Agentic Fabric, available as both a standalone product and a core component of the unified solution, acts as a centralised control plane for machine and AI identities.

It uses lightweight endpoint and browser sensors - SailPoint Endpoint Agent Security (SEAS) and SailPoint Browser Agent Security (SBAS) - to detect hidden AI agents, credentials and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.

Protective controls include inline prompt security that redacts personally identifiable information before it reaches large language models, a centralised kill-switch to disable rogue agents, and automated ownership rules to assign human accountability for machine accounts.

"SailPoint Identity Security represents a fundamental shift in how organisations must neutralise identity vulnerabilities in an AI-driven world," said Chandra Gnanasambandam, executive vice president of product and chief technology officer at SailPoint.

"By unifying the ability to discover every identity, govern access lifecycle policies, and protect the enterprise through real-time risk remediation, we are giving security leaders the visibility and automation they need to confidently shut down modern attack vectors before they can be exploited."

SailPoint said integration partners are working with customers to support adoption of the new solution across agentic environments.
