HP's Asia Pacific chief for printing and personal systems Dion Weisler has been promoted to executive vice president, PPS, HP reporting to CEO Meg Whitman. He will also join the company’s executive council.
He replaces Todd Bradley who will assume a new position at the company—executive vice president, strategic growth initiatives.
Weisler joined HP in January 2012 bringing more than 23 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining HP, Weisler was vice president and chief operating officer of Lenovo’s product and mobile internet digital home groups. He also enjoyed a successful 11-year career at Acer, where he served as managing director of Acer UK and also helped build Acer’s business in Central and Eastern Europe.
Nick Lazaridis will lead HP PPS—APJ in an acting capacity until a permanent replacement is named. Lazaridis is currently chief operating officer of HP PPS—APJ, and is also responsible for the Personal Systems division in the region.

Today’s announcement is about putting our best qualified leaders into roles focused on restarting HP’s growth.
