HPE unifies and simplifies channel partner framework

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has consolidated its existing partner programs into a single framework called HPE Partner Ready Vantage.

This aims to simplify how resellers access and sell across its complete technology portfolio.

The unified program combines HPE Partner Ready and HPE Partner Ready for Networking under one umbrella, offering partners access to compute, storage and networking products through a single enrollment process.

Partners can now resell the company's entire portfolio using both operational expenditure models through GreenLake Flex solutions and traditional capital expenditure approaches.

"The new, unified HPE Partner Ready Vantage reflects our commitment to empowering partners and making it easier for them to differentiate with customers and grow their businesses," Simon Ewington, senior vice president of worldwide channel and partner ecosystem at HPE, said.

Launching in phases starting November 1, the program replaces multiple existing frameworks with what the company describes as a simplified compensation model and consistent partner experience.

Partners can focus on three main areas: developing or integrating solutions, reselling consumption solutions and technologies, or delivering services under their own brand, the vendor's brand, or both.

Within the Sell Track component, partners gain access to dedicated centres for compute, hybrid cloud and networking whilst maintaining flexibility to cross-sell across the full solutions portfolio.

The framework includes optional competencies in private cloud, GreenLake Flex, hybrid cloud operations and secure access service edge to help partners specialise in specific market areas.

New competencies accompany the program launch, including Solutions for AI, which verifies partners that can configure Private Cloud AI with NVIDIA technologies.

Solutions for Sovereign Cloud focuses on regulatory compliance and security in sovereign environments.

A new Morpheus VM Essentials Software certification allows partners to expand virtualisation skills whilst working towards private cloud and hybrid cloud competencies.

CloudPhysics Plus, a free assessment tool launching in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025, enables partners to provide recommendations for optimising customer IT across on-premises, multicloud and cloud-native environments.

Partners can access the tool through the GreenLake cloud platform.

The AI Focus partners program expands to 20 additional countries, targeting previously untapped regions through distribution partnerships.

This program provides partners with AI readiness assessments, accelerated training and co-investment opportunities to build artificial intelligence practices.

HPE Financial Services now offers reduced-rate financing on the Private Cloud AI developer system, allowing partners to spread costs over 36 months rather than making significant upfront purchases.

This enables partners to demonstrate the system's capabilities to customers without major initial investment.

The Smart Choice program has launched globally through channel partners, offering preconfigured data centre solutions for small and medium businesses with fixed pricing and curated product selections.

Currently including ProLiant Compute servers, MSA and tape storage systems, plus Tech Care Services, the program plans to add Compute Ops Management and Morpheus VM Essentials.
