Maria Armstrong, formerly of Pax8 and vice chair from 2024 through to 2025, was named chair, while Avocado Consulting CEO Gerardo Barranquero takes over as vice chair.

Nortec IT's founder and managing director David Norris, who was chair previously, is chair emeritus.

New council members include Devi van Aalst, GM at Williams Technology; Jason Garland, director at Secure Access; Linda Irving, head of IT delivery at CJI Systems; Brenton Johnson, MD at Uptake Digital; Oscar Settle, regional sales manager at ConnectWise; Chris Sharp, SVP of business development at Pax8; and Peter Ward, MD at Dijital Team.

Returning council members are Alexander Anketell, sales engineer at Varonis; Dean Calvert, formerly of Calvert Technologies; and Aaron Jacobs, principal sales engineer - global sales engineering at Sophos.

"This group of GTIA member‑leaders brings deep, on‑the‑ground insight into what’s shaping the IT channel across Australia and New Zealand and where it’s heading next," the industry organisation said in a post on LinkedIn.

In an interview with techpartner.news last year, GTIA CEO Dan Wensley urged MSPs to better monetise consulting efforts.
