Gigamon has appointed Caerl Murray as country manager for Australia and New Zealand, tasking him with expanding the vendor's customer base, deepening channel partnerships and accelerating adoption of its deep observability platform across the region.

Murray brings more than 20 years of technology sales and leadership experience across cloud computing, infrastructure monitoring, managed services, systems integration and distribution. He previously held leadership roles at LogicMonitor and Alibaba Cloud, and has also worked at Ricoh IT Services, Dimension Data and distributor Express Data.

The appointment comes as Gigamon said organisations across ANZ are deploying a growing mix of AI models and services across public cloud, private cloud and on-premises infrastructure - a shift it said is creating new visibility and security challenges across increasingly distributed environments.

“Caerl brings extensive regional experience, strong partner relationships, and a deep understanding of the challenges facing enterprise customers in Australia and New Zealand today,” said David Land, regional vice president at Gigamon.

“As organisations modernise their infrastructure and accelerate AI adoption, the need for greater visibility and control continues to grow. Caerl's leadership will be instrumental in expanding our market presence and helping more customers realise the value of deep observability to secure and manage their infrastructure.”

"Gigamon has a significant opportunity in ANZ as organisations look for better ways to secure and manage increasingly complex environments," Murray said.

“I'm looking forward to working closely with our customers, partners, and local team to build on the company's strong foundation in the region. My priority is to help organisations gain the visibility and intelligence they need to strengthen security, improve operational efficiency, and confidently advance their cloud and AI strategies.”

Gigamon's Deep Observability Pipeline delivers network-derived telemetry - including application metadata, packets and flows - to security and observability tools, with the company saying it provides visibility into encrypted and East-West traffic across hybrid cloud environments.
