DiUS achieves AWS AI Competency for generative and agentic AI consulting

In summary

  • DiUS has achieved the AWS AI Competency in both Generative AI Consulting Services and Agentic AI Consulting Services, validating its AI delivery capability on AWS.
  • It adds to DiUS' existing AWS Machine Learning and IoT Competencies
  • DiUS and AWS signed a SCA in 2025 to accelerate generative and agentic AI adoption in Australia, from assessment through to production deployment on Amazon Bedrock.

Australian technology consultancy DiUS has achieved the AWS AI Competency in both Generative AI Consulting Services and Agentic AI Consulting Services, adding independent validation of its AI delivery capability on Amazon Web Services.

The AWS AI Competency recognises partners with demonstrated technical expertise and proven customer success delivering AI solutions into production on AWS. The competency was expanded in late 2025 to include agentic AI, reflecting a market shift towards systems that can reason, use tools and take action across business workflows.

DiUS said the achievement comes as the AI services market enters a new phase, beyond adoption, individual use cases and proving value through PoCs.

"Now the conversation is shifting to how AI changes the architecture, delivery model and economics around the work itself, from modernising existing platforms to designing products around agents and rethinking workflows when software can take action," said Joe Losinno, co-founder at DiUS.

"Those are engineering and organisational questions as much as AI questions. What matters for our clients is whether we can make AI useful, controlled and operable inside the environment they already have, while building capability their own teams can keep using."

DiUS said some of the strongest opportunities it sees involve AI reshaping surrounding systems rather than adding features - bringing together agents, data, applications and cloud platforms in new ways.

In modernisation work, the company said AI is accelerating codebase analysis, business-rule extraction, test generation and migration tasks, helping teams make better-informed decisions about what to refactor, replatform, replace or retire.

The AWS AI Competency adds to DiUS' existing AWS Machine Learning and IoT Competencies. The consultancy has worked with AWS since 2012, spanning cloud, machine learning, software engineering, data and connected systems.

In 2025, DiUS and AWS signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement focused on accelerating generative and agentic AI adoption in Australia, supporting customer journeys from assessment and use-case prioritisation through to implementation on Amazon Bedrock and production deployment.

The company said it now works with organisations across three areas: designing and building AI products and platforms; using AI to understand and modernise existing systems; and redesigning software delivery around what it calls AI-Driven Development Lifecycle principles, using spec-driven workflows, agents, automated guardrails and human review.
