Datacom's Paul Wilson has ben promoted to director of market growth for Australia, while Jim Pollard has been hired as associate director of public sector growth.
Wilson joined Datacom earlier this year as GM of strategic partners, where he had a focus on strengthening key partnerships, and he will continue to do as he transitions to the new role.
His most recent role before Datacom was chief sales officer at Avanade and he has held senior roles at IBM (GM of strategic sales ANZ), Spark NZ (MD of Australia) and Gen-i (head of sales – enterprise).
From 2019 to 2021, Wilson also led Datacom's global SaaS, cloud and channel business across Asia, UK and US.
As part of Wilson’s team, Pollard will focus on growing Datacom’s public sector footprint, leading growth in the government sector for Western Australia.
Most recently, he was CIO at the Western Australia Department of Justice, where his role included rolling out a comprehensive programme of digital transformation and strengthening the department’s cybersecurity capabilities.
Prior to this, he held various consulting roles within government, education and the resources sector and served as GM of advisory and professional services at Perth-based ICT integrator L7 Solutions.
