Connector Systems brings networking vendor to channel

Trans-Tasman distributor Connector Systems has been appointed as the Australian and New Zealand distributor for Rajant.

Based in the US, Rajant is a wireless mesh network vendor. Its flagship Kinetic Mesh network product is a mobile broadband solution that gives customers access to critical applications.

Rajant previously sold direct in Australia.

Connector Systems said it will target telecommunications, municipalities, utilities, transportation, mining and other industrial sectors for the networking product.

“Connector Systems is focused on bringing new disruptive technologies to market to help organisations manage the rapidly changing digital landscape,” said Connector Systems general manager Mark Dasent.

“Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh platform aligns with our strategy by helping a variety of industry sectors improve communication in changing conditions for better, quicker decision-making.”

Last month, Connector Systems was acquired by distribution giant Ingram Micro for an undisclosed sum. At the time, Ingram stated that Connector Systems would continue operating as its own business unit, but bring over its 15 Australian vendor partners.

Its other networking vendors include Ruckus Wireless, Adtran, Allot Communications, Aspen Optics, Calix, Levelone, Manageengine.
