Brisbane-based Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) service provider Autonomation has teamed up with Workato, a leading enterprise workflow automation platform, to provide a Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) offering.
The partnership aims to enhance Autonomation's ability to create seamless application integrations for ACC and other platforms in the AEC sector, for construction platforms in the local market.
Workato's low- and no-code platform meanwhile allows business and IT teams to integrate data and applications without compromising security or governance.
Autonomation said the partnership will accelerate its capacity to deliver a wide range of new customer outcomes in the construction cloud industry.
"We strongly believe a big part of future integration will be centred on integration platform as a service [iPaaS] solutions, which is why we are thrilled to secure a partnership with Workato, the leader in its field." said Adam Sheather, managing director of Autonomation.
Sheather said that while Autonomation's growth was previously developing bespoke integrations between AEC technologies and enhancing Building Information Modelling (BIM) software, these tailored solutions were complex and required ongoing investment.
"IPaaS and automation tools like Workato, with its no-code or low-code approach, are a big part of the future of the digital industry, and they will help democratise technology, benefiting everyone," he added.
The partnership will enable Autonomation to scale its SAP solutions for cost management in construction cloud projects.
Workato's vertical director for building, construction and infrastructure Cameron Kahler said several members of Autonomation's team are officially certified as Workato experts with client projects already underway.
Additionally, Workato integrations will allow Autonomation's BIM solutions to be automated across multiple business units, streamlining approval processes and data entry in real time with full transparency.
Workato's solution will also facilitate the connection and synchronisation of more common data environments, allowing Autonomation to integrate Issue Risk Management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Project Management Systems such as Microsoft SharePoint.
California headquartered Workato counts Atlassian, ARUP, Woodside, and the Australian government as its local customers.
