Westcon-Comstor has extended its deal with Cisco to distribute the vendor's software via Amazon Web Services' (AWS) Marketplace.
The agreement covers Asia-Pacific (APAC) and EMEA, with an initial focus on Australia and New Zealand as well as select countries in Europe.
It allows Westcon to privately list Cisco’s cybersecurity, observability and networking and collaboration-focused software products in AWS Marketplace.
This enables partners to transact and serve customers in AWS Marketplace, which will help them accelerate transaction times, expand deal sizes, achieve higher win rates and shorten sales cycles.
“We’re thrilled to announce Cisco as a launch vendor for our AWS Marketplace programme,” said David Grant, CEO at Westcon-Comstor.
“End-users increasingly want to procure in AWS Marketplace thanks to the flexibility and pre-defined budgets it offers, and we’re committed to enabling partners to sell where their customers want to buy."
"In giving our partners access to Cisco’s exceptional technology portfolio and equipping them with a simplified and streamlined route to transacting Cisco products on AWS Marketplace, we’re creating a new platform from which to drive growth and scale across the value chain.”
Cisco is one of the first software vendors to be announced as a participant in Westcon-Comstor’s AWS Marketplace program, following the signing of the distributor’s Designated Seller of Record (DSOR) agreement with AWS in February.
“Fresh off being announced as AWS’ Global ISV of the year, we’re accelerating our engagements with Cisco partners and distributors. We’re excited about the opportunity ahead with Comstor, and the ability for our distributors to serve more customers through the AWS marketplace,” said Andrew Sage, VP of global distribution and SMB sales at Cisco.
