The university says the solution must improve IT service reliability, performance, user experience, automation, self-service, knowledge management, reporting and governance, while meeting its privacy, cyber security, audit and regulatory obligations.
The stated objectives of the invitation including delivering a modern, scalable ITSM platform aligned to ITIL practices; improve service reliability, performance and user experience; enable automation, self-service and workflow optimisation; provide reporting, analytics and decision-support capability; and support UniSQ’s enterprise systems and digital roadmap.
The core ITSM capability must span incident, problem, change and request management, alongside a service catalogue, configuration management database (CMDB), asset management, knowledge management, reporting, event management and continual service improvement.
Explicitly out of scope are the replacement of non-IT enterprise systems such as HR or finance platforms, the retention of bespoke business modules better suited to other systems, and broader digital-workplace or collaboration-platform changes.
