Three new reseller categories announced for CRN Channel Champion Awards 2008

After last year’s successful launch, the CRN Channel Champion Awards again will honour the industry’s channel-friendly vendors and distributors. This year, three new reseller categories have been introduced to recognise the achievements of both regional and enterprise organisations.

Sydney’s Shangri-La Hotel again will play host to the channel’s night of nights to an intimate gathering of 400 of the channel’s key players. Helen Frost, editor of CRN, said the event is a fantastic opportunity to recognise the achievements of organizations, individuals and specialised projects.

“This year, we are very pleased to announce the introduction of the Enterprise Reseller of the Year Award, the Regional Reseller of the Year Award, as well as the Innovative Solution of the Year Award. I’m sure selecting the winning entries will prove to be a very hard decision for our panel,” she said.

Last year’s Vendor of the Year was HP, while Express Data won Distributor of the Year. For the 2008 Awards, CRN readers will be called to vote online for candidates in 12 Vendor and Distributor categories.

Resellers are invited to submit entries for either the Enterprise Reseller of the Year or Regional Reseller of the Year Awards. The Enterprise category is for resellers that cover three states or more, while the Regional category is for resellers that cover one or two states.

The judging panel will consist of vendor and distributor representatives that will review a shortlist chosen by the CRN editorial team. The panel will consider a variety of areas and look at resellers that have successfully diversified their business, implemented creative solutions, collaborated with partners, or included Green IT practices.

All resellers are eligible to submit an entry for Most Innovative Solution and this category will consider specific projects. Information on how to supply applications is available by emailing editors@techpartner.news.
