Telstra security execs Neil Campbell and Jacqui McNamara exit

Two Telstra security executives have departed the telco in line with its Telstra2022 overhaul.

Director of security solutions Neil Campbell and head of cybersecurity services Jacqui McNamara have left Telstra.

Cybersecurity products leader Thomas King has stepped in to serve as cybersecurity director for Telstra Enterprise for the time being.

Campbell joined Telstra as director of global security solutions from Dimension Data in 2016. He had worked at DiData in various roles since 2002, most recently he was group general manager for security.

McNamara has led Telstra Enterprise’s cybersecurity services division since October 2014. Prior to that, she worked in security software sales for IBM, and as a sales director for HP’s network security business TippingPoint between 2009 and 2013.

The departures are consistent with Telstra’s major corporate reorganisation, dubbed Telstra2022 and announced in June. The cuts are expected to see more than 8000 staff depart once the strategy is complete.

The first round of job cuts, which commenced late in August, is expected to see 1200 roles cut.
