Tech Data scores AWS distribution deal for New Zealand

Tech Data said it has been appointed as an official Amazon Web Services (AWS) distributor in New Zealand.

The partnership will enable Tech Data to provide AWS cloud services, partner enablement initiatives and growth programs, to support the AWS Partner Network in New Zealand.

Partners will be able to access AWS services through Tech Data's StreamOne global cloud platform, alongside a new digital platform called TDHub that allows partners to manage orders, track performance and access resources in one location.

The TD SYNNEX company, which serves over 150,000 customers globally, will provide structured training and dedicated sales and technical support to help partners scale their cloud offerings.

"This enhanced collaboration with AWS marks a significant step in our ANZ growth strategy," Andy Berry, vice president and country general manager at Tech Data ANZ, said.

Tech Data plans to officially launch the partnership at an event in Auckland on 20 February, bringing together AWS representatives, channel partners and industry leaders.

The distribution agreement strengthens Tech Data's position in the ANZ region's growing cloud market, where it aims to help partners accelerate their cloud adoption journey through access to AWS resources and expert guidance.
