Tech Data has been appointed Australia and New Zealand distributor for Dbvisit, in a deal that brings the data management vendor’s entire portfolio to partners down under.
Dbvisit’s key offering is a data protection suite that includes solutions for disaster recovery, offload reporting, migrations and upgrades, and data distribution.
The vendor touts itself as a worldwide leader in replicating and streaming Oracle data. Its portfolio is suitable for both Oracle Database Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition.
Tech Data has been a long-term Oracle distributor in Australia.
Wendy O’Keeffe, Tech Data’s country general manager for ANZ, said data management was a key opportunity for today’s channel.
“Data is becoming critically important in digital business initiatives and intelligent decision-making. The full range of Dbvisit solutions will enhance our current data management offering for partners creating a unique combing real-time analytics, disaster recovery and replication,” O’Keeffe said.
Dbvisit vice president of product management Chris Lawless said: “We are already working with Tech Data in many other markets around the world and have found their knowledge and expertise to be invaluable in assisting local partners to deliver effective data management solutions to their customers.”
Tech Data has recently landed a number of vendors in the data management and analytics space, including Informatica in June and Cloudera in October.
