Global distributor and solutions aggregator Tech Data has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Migration Services Competency and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) for Microsoft Windows Server Delivery Partners (SDP) status.
These designations recognise Tech Data’s technical proficiency and success in automating and accelerating customer application migration and modernisation journeys.
“Tech Data was the first AWS Distribution Partner to attain the AWS Premier Tier Services Partner status in Australia, and this recent AWS Migration Services Competency achievement further underscores our commitment to AWS globally and in Australia,” Tech Data ANZ cloud business unit leader Nicholas Jamsek said.
“With our expertise and tools, we are actively collaborating with several partners to accelerate their cloud adoption journey and migrate their workload to AWS.”
AWS established the AWS Competency Program and AWS Service Delivery Program to help customers identify AWS partners with highly specialised expertise in Amazon solutions.
The AWS Migration Services Competency is awarded to partners with proficiency in migration and application modernisation, while the AWS Service Delivery Program is awarded to those with expertise in specific AWS services.
These partners have passed a technical validation to ensure they meet best practices with each service and have demonstrated customer success.
Tech Data and its partners use AWS Migration Acceleration Program processes, approaches and methodologies together with the Tech Data Workload Migration Assessment program, which provides a structured approach to AWS migrations.
