Sydney’s SuperDome will be re-branded as Acer Arena, with Acer Computer signing a five-year sponsorship agreement with PBL.
The multi-million dollar sponsorship deal is made possible with the support of Intel Viiv technology and will commence on the 12 May 2006.
David Humphreys, CEO of Sydney SuperDome, said one of the plans through this sponsorship is to deliver live and pre-packaged entertainment from the Acer Arena directly to people's homes.
Intel will use the Arena sponsorship to promote its Viiv technology platform within the interactive zone. The area will allow visitors to explore the innovative technologies on offer, interact with the latest Viiv products, take home information and take part in special offers.
Charles Chung, managing director, Acer Oceanic Region said through the multimillion dollar deal patrons will be able to touch and see the Acer products based-on Intel Viiv technology and what they can offer in a setting where people are looking to be entertained.
