Steve MacDonald, the director of cyber security practice for Interactive-owned Slipstream Cyber, has departed the business to take on a new role.
He now joins Skillfield - a Melbourne-born cyber security, AI and big data solutions provider and professional services consultancy - as the company's director of sales.
MacDonald came onboard at Slipstream a year ago to lead the Commercial, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Pre-Sales teams, having joined after a stint as regional director of Oceania and South East Asia for AI-native cyber risk and exposure management platform Balbix.
Prior to this, he was head of managed cyber security services at Telstra for seven years, having also previously held sales leadership roles at Elastica, Envisian, Imperva, HP and Check Point.
In a post on LinkedIn, MacDonald said that he and Skillfield founder Mouaz Alnouri had talked about him joining the company "for many years".
"To say that I’m excited is a vast understatement," he said.
"Steve will help lead our next phase of growth, and I'm looking forward to building something special together while continuing to make Skillfield a place where great people enjoy working together," Alnouri said in his own LinkedIn post.
Last week, Interactive named Anneliese McDowell as MD of cyber security, which includes Slipstream Cyber.
Interactive bought Slipstream Cyber Security in 2023.
