Spirit Technology Solutions has appointed Simon McKay as CEO of its cyber security businesses Intalock Cyber Security and InfoTrust.
Simon is the co-founder and managing director of InfoTrust, which merged with Spirit in a deal announced in February and finalised this month that aims to complement its existing cyber business unit Intalock Cyber Security.
Spirit said McKay has spent the months since the merger was announced exploring synergies between the companies, highlighting complementary talent skill sets and uncovering potential scope to uplift and reinforce the existing set of product solutions.
“I am excited by the chance to lead the expanding cyber security business. As a combined entity we have circa 110 cyber experts with the opportunity now to build on what is already a world class cyber capability," McKay said.
"We have a raft of new solutions and services in the pipeline, we’ve become one of the largest partners to a number of our vendors, and our mission is to create one of the most robust and comprehensive cyber businesses in Australia.”
Spirit Group's managing director Julian Challingsworth said “Simon brings an energy and enthusiasm that will drive our rapid expansion in the cyber security industry."
"He is a proven business leader who has grown InfoTrust to stand out as a leading technology brand and I have been instantly impressed by the depth of his knowledge and ambition to deliver exceptional service to our growing client base.”
