SentinelOne has promoted Jason Duerden to area VP for Australia and New Zealand.
He replaces the recently departed Brad Perriott, who left the company earlier this month after just over a year in the role.
Duerden has spent the last 12 months focusing on the company’s brand and communications strategy as area VP of social media, having served as country manager for ANZ prior to that since joining SentinelOne in March 2021.
Prior to that, he was country manager at BlackBerry and regional director at Cylance, where he led high-growth expansion across the ANZ market.
“At a time of global uncertainty and conflict, sovereign cybersecurity capabilities matter," said Duerden.
"We are investing for the long term in ANZ, strengthening sovereign capability, deepening partnerships, and ensuring our region's defenders have the ultimate security advantage in their hands."
Since launching in ANZ five years ago, the company is now protecting over 1,000 organisations alongside a network of ecosystem partners, and expanding its local team to over 50 people.
SentinelOne’s regional strategy is underpinned by Australian data residency, IRAP protected level capabilities, and alignment with the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Essential Eight framework and the SOCI Act, with SentinelOne's platform capabilities also mapping to both the Australian and New Zealand cybersecurity strategies.
The company is also reinforced by a regional ecosystem that includes partnerships with AWS, Sallt, TPO Technologies, Orro Group, DXC Technology, McGrath Nicol and Advantage NZ.
