Samsung's Series 9 notebook to hit Aussie shores

Samsung has announced its updated Series 9 notebook will land in Australia at the beginning of the second quarter.

The 13.3in Series 9 was previewed at CES 2012. The boasts a nine-second boot time, a 128GB SSD and 10 hours of battery life. Weighing in at just 1.16kg, the Series 9 is powered by Intel's Core i5 processor and HD Graphics 3000, and packs 4GB of RAM. Fans of sleek tech will also love the sand-blasted aluminium unibody that protects the laptop's HD+ SuperBright Plus display.

A Samsung spokesperson told CRN pricing will be confirmed closer to the launch date. US pricing has been set at $US1400.
