Rhipe crosses another milestone with 200,000 Microsoft CSP customers

Australian distributor Rhipe has crossed another milestone by signing up more than 200,000 Office 365 seats as part of the Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider program.

Rhipe launched its CSP program two-and-a-half years ago, which allows the distie to sell Microsoft software on a subscription basis, including customer lifecycle, direct billing, provisioning, management and 24/7 support.

"Last September we announced our 150,000 user threshold; today we're announcing 200,000 users," said Rhipe chief executive Dominic O'Hanlon.

"This growth is exciting, and sees strong progress in the Office 365 productivity portfolio, as well as solid progress in our Azure public cloud business with more than 1000 subscriptions. Rhipe continues to be the number one indirect CSP provider of Azure in Asia-Pacific and the only globally managed license partner of Microsoft's headquartered in the APAC region."

Last year, Rhipe became just one of eight companies appointed as a Microsoft globally managed licensing partner, and the only company in Asia-Pacific.

Annualised run rate for the CSP business hit $34.6 million, with the Azure component accounting for more than $5 million. The distie added that it has over 2500 partners in Asia-Pacific."

Earlier this month, Rhipe revealed that its CSP business had raked in $13 million in revenue for the half-year ending 31 December 2017, up from $5 million the previous year.

Overall, Rhipe's six-month revenue grew 22 percent to $88 million, while profit increased 117 percent to $3.1 million.
