On a roll: UXC scores another $25m deal

UXC has added to its long-term work for Ausgrid with a $25 million end-user support contract.

The IT provider will support 7,500 users across NSW under the deal, which also includes Endeavour Energy.

UXC has been supplying services to Ausgrid since 2003. The customer claims to be Australia’s largest electricity network operator, covering the Hunter, Sydney, Central Coast and Newcastle.

Meanwhile, Endeavour Energy supplies more than 2.2 million people in Sydney‘s greater west, Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands and the Illawarra.

UXC will supply service desk and end user computing support. Work has already commenced and the deal has the option for two two-year extensions.

The deal follows an SAP for Customers rollout announced in April by UXC Oxygen with power company Jemena, which manages $9 billion in assets.

ASG also announced a $15 million managed services deal in May with Western Australia energy company Synergy.

Only days ago, publicly listed UXC revealed a raft of major multi-year contracts with unnamed clients, including an Australian-based construction company that ordered a greenfield Oracle ERP system and five years of managed services. The deal also covers managed service desk, applications and infrastructure.
