Christchurch-based energy data services firm Quasar Systems has been honoured at Schneider Electric's annual global Sustainability Impact Awards.
Founded in 1983, the firm provides businesses and utilities with energy data solutions that include power metering hardware and software, EV chargers and meter data management.
Quasar was honoured in the 'Sustainability Impact to my customers’ category in the Pacific Zone, sharing the award with Pacific Energy.
The award recognises partners that demonstrate sustainable leadership by enabling their customers to achieve their decarbonisation goals.
To this end, Quasar has been implementing an EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert system for a project covering more than 200 sites across New Zealand.
Elsewhere in the Pacific region, the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Sydney won the ‘Impact to my enterprise’ award, which recognises organisations that exhibit sustainability leadership in decarbonising their own operations.
The UNSW's sustainability plan sees it work alongside its partners it aims to reduce its environmental footprint and position its campuses and practices as sustainability leaders.
Meanwhile, telco Airtrunk won the ‘Impact to my enterprise’ award together with UNSW.
