NZ-based cyber security firm CyberGrape has brought its proprietary Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) platform and SMB-first security model to Queensland, eyeing what it calls an "underserved SMB market" across south-east Australia.

The company, founded by Niel Chapman close to six years ago in New Plymouth on the North Island of New Zealand, has chosen Fortitude Valley, a suburb of Brisbane, as the location for its new headquarters, but has operated across both countries "for some time".

The company also has offices in South Africa and clients across Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, and the UK.

It works with MSPs to deliver SMB1001 certification programmes, managed security services, and GRC capability to their clients.

Beyond SMB1001, the company brings third-party risk management capability through its Black Kite partnership, offering continuous, real-time monitoring of vendor and supplier cyber posture, including a Ransomware Susceptibility Index and financial impact quantification using FAIR methodology.

CyberGrape also has a CSO-as-a-Service offering, giving businesses access to executive-level security leadership across three tiers of engagement from 16 hours per month through to full programme management and board-level reporting.
