Nutanix selects Dicker Data as new ANZ distie

Nutanix has selected Dicker Data as its latest distributor for Australia and New Zealand.

In an announcement (pdf) to the ASX, chief executive David Dicker said there’s been a recent surge in demand from partners for hybrid cloud solutions.

“As a result, we’ve already delivered a number of Nutanix hyperconverged solutions on Intel Datacentre Block hardware. We view their products as a strategic growth opportunity for us and demand is continually increasing for hyperconverged solutions, the time is now right for us to establish a direct relationship with Nutanix to invest in scaling the partnership.”

Dicker Data has had an tangential relationship with Nutanix since at least 2016, when it was given access to distribute Lenovo's enterprise range, including its Nutanix and Datacore offerings.

Nutanix’s other Australian distributors are Arrow ECS ANZ, Tech Data and Exclusive Networks. CRN has inquired whether any of these existing distributor relationships would be affected, and received this response from Nutanix.

“Dicker Data further expands our distribution reach for customers in Australia. We will be providing more information in due course once the enablement of resources and systems readiness for our resellers to transact on Nutanix with Dicker Data has been completed.”

So far in 2019, Dicker Data has signed on Kaspersky Lab and Honeywell to its vendor line-up. The distie also launched its in-house financing division in June in response to the growing demand for as-a-service IT procurement.
