Nutanix’s Australian and New Zealand channel director Niall O’Gorman has departed the hyperconverged infrastructure vendor and is set to take on a new role at Amazon Web Services.
O’Gorman confirmed the move, which will see him start with AWS’ channel team in October.
Nutanix Asia-Pacific and Japan head of channel Jacob Pereira wished Gorman all the best and thanked him for his time with the company.
"We have already started seeking a replacement, someone who can continue to work with our partners and customers to realise the full competitive advantage of the enterprise cloud. In the meantime I will work more closely with our Australian and New Zealand channel community," Pereira said.
An AWS spokesperson said AWS did not comment on speculation or appointments.
Gorman joined Nutanix in May 2016 from VMware, where he held the position of national partner business manager, after joining the virtualisation vendor in 2011 as partner business manager. Prior to that, O’Gorman worked on the Citrix account at Avnet Technology Solutions as business development manager from February 2010 to October 2011.
