NTT DATA said it has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate the adoption of data analytics and generative AI solutions throughout the Asia Pacific region.
The collaboration will establish a dedicated NTT DATA Google Cloud Business Unit, focusing on developing joint solutions for data analytics, generative AI, cybersecurity and SAP implementations on Google Cloud Platform.
The partnership aims to serve multiple sectors including healthcare, financial services, insurance, manufacturing, retail and public sector organisations by leveraging NTT DATA's industry expertise and Google Cloud's technology capabilities.
NTT DATA plans to significantly boost its Google Cloud expertise, adding to its existing base of 2600 Google-certified engineers across 50 countries.
The company aims to certify at least 1000 additional professionals specifically in the Asia Pacific region.
"Customer confidence is paramount to deliver on their digital transformation aspirations," Karan Bajwa, vice president of Google Cloud APAC said.
The timing of this partnership aligns with projected growth in cloud services spending, which Gartner forecasts will reach US$679 billion worldwide in 2024 and exceed US$1 trillion by 2027.
"This expanded partnership brings together NTT DATA's expertise in digital transformation and deep-rooted understanding of APAC's diverse markets with Google Cloud's unparalleled AI and cloud innovations," John Lombard, chief executive officer of NTT DATA APAC said.
Early success of the partnership was demonstrated through a major retail client, which achieved 22 per cent growth in digital inquiries and an 85 per cent increase in occupancy through improved data analytics.
NTT DATA expects this collaboration to expand its cloud business in Asia Pacific tenfold within three years, positioning the partnership as a significant driver of regional digital transformation initiatives.
