NEXTDC appoints head of security and government strategy

NEXTDC has named Justin Bowden as head of security and government strategy.

He joins from Amazon Web Services, where he was security assurance region lead for ANZO for over four years.

In a post on LinkedIn, Bowden said that with continued expansion across Australia and into Asia, including new regional capacity coming online in Malaysia, the intersection of security, government engagement and growth strategy is increasingly important.

"I’m looking forward to leading NEXTDC’s security posture, supporting regulatory and national security alignment, and ensuring security remains a strategic enabler of trust, resilience and long-term expansion," he said.

Earlier this month, NEXTDC named Jodi Pearce as alliance director to lead the company's alliance strategy, with a strong focus on AI partnerships and customer-centric go-to-market motions.
