Mid-market IT services firm Nexon Asia Pacific has claimed to become the first organisation in ANZ certified to ISO/IEC 42001:2023 by Intertek SAI Global, a provider of audit, certification and training services
ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is an international management system standard specifically designed for artificial intelligence. The standard aims to provide a structured framework to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve an AI Management System, supporting the ethical, secure, transparent, and responsible use of AI technologies, the company said.
As part of the certification, Nexon has also earned the right to use Intertek SAI Global’s 5 Ticks StandardsMark, providing independent assurance that its AI governance practices meet internationally recognised standards.
“AI presents enormous opportunities alongside clear responsibilities," said Saba Maroun, chief customer services officer at Nexon Asia Pacific.
"This certification reflects our commitment to strong governance, transparency, security, and ethical AI practices, and demonstrates that responsible AI is embedded into the way we operate.”
Last year, Nexon was sold to Australian private equity firm Adamantem Capital.
