New head for Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise
Maud Holvast.

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has appointed a new vice president for Australia and New Zealand.

Maud Holvast joins the local operation from the Netherlands, where she oversaw business development for partners and end-users.

Holvast said modern business, and in particular the channel, is being shaped by what she describes as the “personal cloud era.”

“This is a company I know well and we are focused on enabling more collaborative multimedia conversations with our OpenTouch communication and Application Fluent network solutions. We have seen the level of excitement already generated with our partners and I look forward to working with the team here to help enterprises embrace new opportunities in the personal cloud era,” said Holvast, in a statement.

Prior to Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, Holvast held roles at KPN and CMG Wireless Data Solutions.

"There is a lot of buzz around innovation in Australia as organisations look to invest in mobility and the cloud and we are well positioned to leverage this with our strong roadmap of product development,” she added.
