mySMB.com appoints Scott Ward as director of community and growth

mySMB.com, an AI business productivity and community platform for SMBs, has appointed Scott Ward as director of community and growth, as the platform doubles down on its mission to help small and medium businesses use AI to operate more effectively..

Ward brings a background spanning leadership and transformation roles at Datacom, Microsoft and Adobe, as well as his own consultancy, Digital Infusions, where he advised senior executive teams and worked with organisations including Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, Disney, Nike, Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, NAB, and the Seven and Nine networks.

His experience as a small business owner also gives him direct insight into the pressures the platform is built to address - limited resources, competing priorities and the challenge of balancing delivery with business development - mySMB.com stated.

In his new role, Ward will support growth of the mySMB.com platform, which aggregates customer, financial, product and operational data from disconnected systems into a single workspace. The company said the consolidated view gives AI the business context needed to surface priorities, automate recurring tasks and draft communications.

Ward will also oversee growth of myImpact, mySMB.com's offering for not-for-profit and purpose-led organisations, launched at the Global Impact Summit.

"AI is by far the biggest threat to small and medium businesses, as well as the biggest opportunity," Ward said.

"Businesses need to work out how to use AI today to augment their workforce and amplify their reach and impact in the market. mySMB.com is designed to give them an unfair competitive advantage."

Last month, mySMB.com partnered with Orbii, an Australian outsourcing advisory and matching platform, to give SMBs practical guidance on workforce planning and global talent.
