MSC Mobility co-founder Leuk Andersen resurfaces at MSP Epicon

MSC Mobility co-founder Leuk Andersen has joined Canberra-headquartered IT service management provider Epicon to lead its NSW business.

Andersen’s new role is general manager for NSW and focused on growing Epicon’s systems integrator business.

“Andersen’s strong industry experience and skills in service integration and transformed IT is unmatched, and he will play an integral role in helping us achieve our ambitious growth targets,” Epicon chief executive Wayne Gowland said.

Andersen co-founded MSC, which made its name as a mobile device management firm in 1999 under the name Mercury Development Group. He and co-founder Justin Roche grew the business to more than 100 staff managing 80,000 end users before it was acquired by Telstra in 2016.

Roche left Telstra in September 2018, while Andersen followed suit in November the same year.

MSC Mobility appeared in the CRN Fast50 in 2014 and 2015, placing 25th and 29th, respectively, with 44.31 percent growth and $14.9 million in revenue that latter year.

Prior to Telstra’s acquisition, MSC Mobility was one of Telstra's largest enterprise mobility partners, managing devices for some of its enterprise customers. MSC's core capability was its enterprise mobility platform built around Airwatch and MobileIron.

“As a business owner I was very focused on the use of technology to enable new services and optimise business processes. We built a mobility business around that model. As everyone moves through their ‘digital transformation’, I’m focused on how IT and the service integration role needs to transform to support business on this journey,” Andersen said in a prepared statement.

“Outside of growing the Epicon business locally, a key part of my role will be to nurture and further develop our key technology partner relationships. We will work closely with them to build and integrate solutions to deliver a better customer IT experience and remove the complexity of today’s digital world.”
