Digital Marketplace Panel 2 to re-open in November

The Digital Transformation Agency is reopening the Digital Marketplace 2 in November.

This means sellers of software and cloud products can apply for three DMP2 modules, including ICT labour hire, professional and consulting services, and software and cloud.

All software and cloud products will be bundled into one category to reduce duplication and make it easier for buyers to find the right sellers.

Sellers can apply for the module that matches what they can sell to government. If software and cloud is not relevant to the business, sellers can still apply for other modules in November.

The new Software and Cloud module will replace the current Software and ERP Marketplace and Cloud Marketplace arrangements when they expire.

For those currently selling software and cloud products through these arrangements, they will need to apply to DMP2 to continue selling following the expiry of the Software and ERP Marketplace and Cloud Marketplace arrangements. 

When designing the DMP2, the DTA consulted widely with government and industry.

It heard from both buyers and sellers that there were too many panels across government. Buyers said that it was difficult to buy products and services from multiple panels, and industry said this could be a barrier to entry.

In July, the DTA launched a new Artificial Intelligence Engineering category under the Digital Marketplace Panel 2.
