MSC Mobility founder and chief executive Justin Roche has left the company just over two years after it was acquired by Telstra.
Roche founded the mobile device management firm in 1999 as Mercury Development Group along with Leuk Andersen and had grown the business to about 100 staff managing 80,000 end users before it was acquired by Telstra in 2016.
MSC Mobility appeared in the CRN Fast50 on a handful of occasions, placing 25th in 2014 and 29th in 2015, with 44.31 percent growth and $14.9 million in revenue that latter year.
Telstra swooped in on MSC Mobility in 2016, buying the company for an undisclosed amount just weeks after acquiring award-winning Microsoft partner Ready, and six months after acquiring Kloud.
Prior to the acquisition, MSC Mobility was one of Telstra's largest enterprise mobility partners, managing devices for some of its enterprise customers. MSC's core capability is its enterprise mobility platform built around Airwatch and MobileIron, which has been deployed to a handful of law enforcement agencies across the country.
Roche took on the role of general manager for mobile strategy at Telstra, though it is unclear whether he will remain with Telstra.
