Open-source database developer MongoDB has launched a new invite-only APAC Strategic Partner Program with the intention of accelerating the region’s transition from legacy infrastructure to modern, AI-driven applications.

Partners who have already got the OK include Sieger, SoftwareOne and ICS Compute.

While the program is invite-only, MongoDB said the desire is to increase the size of its APAC partner team by 50 percent by the end of its fiscal year. At the same time, it also wants to quadruple the number of APAC partners MongoDB is strategically engaged with.

The program provides preferential access to specialised Architect and Application Delivery certifications, as well as prioritising partners who bring "deep local expertise".

Co-marketing toolkits, ready-to-use assets, and best-practice playbooks are also included.

"We are identifying partners who have outstanding local capabilities and investing heavily in their success to create an ecosystem of force multipliers across the Asia Pacific region," said Bidhan Roy, VP of partners, APAC for MongoDB.

"For our joint customers, this initiative aims to reduce delivery risk, reduce time-to-market, and provide access to trusted advisors who can pull together all the necessary elements—technology, skills, and strategy—to make AI a reality."
