Matt Clarkin joins Canon Business Services ANZ

Matt Clarkin has been appointed the general manager of sales and marketing for Canon Business Services (CBS) ANZ’s, Canon’s technology solutions arm.

Clarkin joins CBS with more than 26 years of experience leading sales and go-to-market functions for enterprise software vendors, system integrators, and founder-led services businesses, with expertise in Microsoft-aligned growth strategies.

He joins from Avanade, where he led their Australian financial services and commercial business.

Prior to this, he was an equity partner at specialist data and AI firm Data Addiction, where he  led an acquisition by Seisma Group. Clarkin has also held leadership roles at Microsoft.

CBS’ chief executive Luke Clark said Clarkin brings a rare blend of experience, operating at major global vendors and leading large-scale system integrators.

"He understands exactly what it takes to deliver repeatable, high-value outcomes for Australian businesses," he said.

"We're thrilled to have him on the team, and his appointment is a direct investment in CBS' capability to guide our customers through their next phase of technological maturity."

Clarkin said success is not just deploying new tools or delivering transactional services, it is about having a partnership based on trust, proven capability and providing consistent business value in a cost-effective approach.

In June, CBS announced it is launching an AI and security advisory capability.
