Lumify Group has appointed Darren Cook as chief executive officer, alongside two new chief operating officers, as the Australian training and workforce capability provider strengthens its leadership team for what it describes as a period of accelerating AI adoption.

Cook is joined by Ayisha Tufail, appointed chief operating officer - professional capability, and Joshua Cameron, appointed chief operating officer - careers.

Cook brings more than 20 years' experience in leadership roles across technology, consulting and advisory businesses. He joins after serving as CEO of Adaca, a company that helps financial services firms modernise platforms, manage security, and adopt AI.

As chief executive, he will be responsible for Lumify Group's overall mission to close the gap between technology investment and workforce capability - a challenge the company said is becoming more pressing as Australian organisations increase spending on AI.

“The next decade of technology will not be defined by tools alone. It will be defined by whether organisations can build the skills, behaviours and confidence needed to adapt. That is the opportunity for Lumify," he said.

"We help organisations build capability, we help individuals build careers, and we help close the gap between technology ambition and practical execution. I’m incredibly excited to be joining Lumify Group at such an important time for the organisation and the market it serves.”

Tufail will lead Lumify Group's professional capability business, covering workforce upskilling, capability development and organisational learning. Her remit spans a portfolio of brands including Lumify Work, Nexacu, City Desktop Training, Plain English Foundation, ENS, Lumify Work New Zealand and the group's Philippines operations.

Cameron will oversee the Careers business, which includes Lumify Learn and Lumify People, with responsibility for accredited learning pathways, industry certifications and career-focused education.

Lumify Group operates across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines.
