Leader Computers on east coast blitz with third distie centre

Australian PC brand Leader Computers continues to expand its footprint, announcing its third major east coast distribution centre.

The Springvale, Victoria facility, opened four months ago, was officially announced this week. It joins facilities in Coorparoo, Queensland and Sydney opened in the past two-and-a-half years, adding to an existing Adelaide operation.

With a string of new vendor partnerships also under its belt, the PC manufacturer and distributor is now aiming higher – the eventual goal is to have service availability within 50km of every suburb or town for customers who buy Leader desktops, laptops and servers.

This will mean filling gaps in its presence in some parts of regional Victoria, parts of regional NSW and in Western Australia and the Northern Territory, said Victoria branch manager Benjamin Klason. Leader already has more than 260 authorised service agents.

The new Victorian facility means Leader can action warranty returns in 24 hours and turn around warranty returns in three to five days. Leader is also capable of next-day interstate delivery, Klason said.

While Klason did not reveal sales figures, he said Leader had seen growth quarter-on-quarter for “years“, across desktops, servers, tablets and all-in-ones.

The distie has also added MSI to a string of new partnerships in the last 13 months, including Sapphire, AOC, Gigabyte, TP Link, Crucial, Lexar, Bitfenix, Silverstone and FSP, among others.
