Kogan names TV Kevin37 in honour of the PM

The television will coincide with the Federal Government's handout to all Australians, as part of its stimulus package.

Named after the Australian Prime Minister - Kevin Rudd, the TV costs $900 and will be shipped out in April.

The 37 inch LCD TV is being sold at a low price, claimed Ruslan Kogan, owner of Kogan.

"While other manufacturers are raising their prices, apparently due to the price of components, we're releasing new products that undercut everyone else," he stated.

"We're also going to send out a free promotional t-shirt."

However Kogan said the retailer wasn't affiliated with, nor endorsed by, the Government of Australia, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, or the Australian Labor Party.
