Jabra Australia and Dicker Data have joined forces to provide a co-funded donation to The Shepherd Centre, an Australian not-for-profit dedicated to helping children with hearing loss.
The donation will directly support The Shepherd Centre’s early intervention programs, which provide audiology, speech therapy and family support services to over 900 families across Australia each year.
The funding will help bridge critical gaps not covered by government support, ensuring more children receive the care they need.
Jabra's sister organisation, GN Hearing, is a manufacturer of medical-grade hearing aids, operating under brands such as ReSound and Beltone.
Jabra Australia MD David Piggott said supporting The Shepherd Centre is a natural extension of the company's purpose.
“As part of the GN Group, we understand the profound impact that hearing has on a person’s ability to connect, learn, and thrive," he said.
"This partnership allows us to give back in a way that aligns with our values and our heritage.”
Dicker Data has a long-standing commitment to empowering communities through strategic partnerships and charitable initiatives.
The company has previously harnessed the power of its technology ecosystem to support causes ranging from digital literacy in Indigenous communities to environmental conservation and homelessness relief.
Dicker Data business unit manager, Tim Tran, said the company is proud to be collaborating on this initiative with Jabra.
"The Shepherd Centre’s work is nothing short of transformative, and we believe that by combining our resources, we can help more children access the support they need to reach their full potential," he said.
The Shepherd Centre's evidence-based programs have helped thousands of children with hearing loss develop language skills on par with their hearing peers.
“This donation is a testament to what’s possible when industry leaders come together with a shared purpose,” said a spokesperson from The Shepherd Centre.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Jabra and Dicker Data for their generosity and vision.”
