Ingram Micro partners with video surveillance vendor Dahua

Ingram Micro Australia has expanded its line-up of video surveillance vendors with the addition of solutions from Dahua.

China-headquartered Dahua is the second largest video surveillance vendor based on market share. Its product line-up includes network cameras and associated products such as software and switches.

Ingram business manager Sunny Gandhi said the distributor's technical solutions specialists could help resellers design configurations, allowing partners to offer an end-to-end security solution without needing their own in-house specialist.

“At the same time, Dahua, through its scale and volume of manufacturing, offers extremely competitive solutions and pricing, with specifications and technology that easily compete with and exceed brands that have been historically strong in the security sector,” Gandhi said.

“Our Dahua partnership means that our reseller partners have the opportunity to make margins that they rarely see these days with more traditional IT products. The IP-based nature of the solutions makes Dahua an offering they can provide to existing and new clients while managing their networks."

Dahua's Australian managing director, Lyn Cheng, said the vendor would also have access to Ingram's in-house specialist engineering and design teams.

"These teams not only specialise in CCTV, they also have significant expertise in designing robust networks which can easily cope with the higher security requirements and heavier bandwidth loads required by IP CCTV security devices.

“Another benefit the partnership gives our customers is the advanced ordering and logistics systems offered by Ingram Micro. A Dahua user can easily place an order through the Ingram Micro website and then have it delivered next day to most places in Australia.”

Ingram distributes a number of video surveillance vendors, including Cisco, Netgear, Fortinet and Kaiser Baas.
