Hobart's ISW wins Tech Data and IBM One Percenter competition

Hobart-headquartered IT services firm ISW has won the Tech Data and IBM One Percenters competition for developing an emissions reduction SaaS platform for EMC Australia.

The competition tasked IBM partners with creating a custom solution that uses at least one product from the company's software portfolio.

ISW's platform was built using IBM Hyperledger and IBM Cloud technologies and bested four other finalists who pitched their solutions to a panel of judges at IBM’s Sydney headquarters.

“We are proud to be the recipients of the Best of the Best - One Percenters Award from Tech Data and IBM,"ISW's manage director Ian Warner said.

"It was a very tough competition and we are honoured to be awarded as the winner.”

ISW received $30,000 to promote their platform, speaking invitations at IBM events and networking opportunities with IBM and Tech data partners and customers.

“Now in its third year, the One Percenters program has been able to draw out true innovation from IBM’s Australian partner ecosystem” Tech Data ANZ director of vendor and alliances Ivan Hecimovic said.

“These are the people and businesses who have thought long and hard about the solutions to the real-world problems society faces and have developed solutions to solve them."

"We couldn’t be happier with the result and look forward to helping ISW on their journey to promote their solution in the market.”

“The standard was so high this year that five finalists were chosen, instead of the usual four."
