US vendor Ruckus Wireless has honoured Australian company Hills with its ANZ Distributor of the Year award.
Hills revealed that it had grown Ruckus' Australian earnings by 30 percent year-on-year, citing Perth City Council as a prime example among its many wins.
"With the expanding wi-fi needs of the community, this is an exciting growth area for our business and it's great to be recognised for the work we are doing to grow wi-fi presence in Australia," said head of Hills' IT practice Daniel Lee.

As well as the Perth example, Hills said that it had helped resellers deploy wi-fi in various verticals such as education, hotel chains, warehouses, shopping malls, aged care, student accommodation and mining camps.
Ruckus Australia managing director Patrick Devlin said Hills' reach was important.
"Being involved with a company that has the national breadth and network of Hills has been critical to our success in the region," Devlin said.
