Fusion5 has acquired Applejack, a Queensland-based provider of NetSuite, Oracle’s Cloud ERP business management software suite
Applejack customers include Mountain Bikes Direct, Scape Student Living, and Salary Packaging Australia.
Applejack founder and MD Stuart Mallet said becoming part of Fusion5 is an exciting move for both the team and its customers.
"It’s an opportunity for our consultants to work on a wider range of projects, and for our customers to leverage Fusion5’s extensive investment in their data, security, AI, and integration capabilities," he said.
“We’re delighted to add their skills and expertise to our own, build our presence in Brisbane, and offer a wide range of transformation services to its customers from under one roof," Fusion5 Australia’s CEO Sven Martin said.
“We’re focused on growth across the board – from building a significant AI team to investing heavily in our data practice and bringing in vertical capabilities that can be applied throughout the business."
A continuation of current strategy
Mark Iles, the chief analyst for APAC channels at Canalys (part of Omdia), said the acquisition represents a continuation of the strategy at Fusion5 of acquiring business application specialists focussed on Oracle (NetSuite) as well as Microsoft Dynamics.
"These businesses are seeing strong growth driven by customer demand to extract more insights from their core systems utilising AI to drive transformation and automation and improve overall business efficiency," he told techpartner.news.
"This also extends to the SAP, Salesforce, and ServiceNow ecosystems, which are also seeing strong continued demand and M&A activity," Iles explained, referencing AC3's acquisition of Melbourne-headquartered JDS Australia.
"BGH (the former owner of CyberCX, recently sold to Accenture) acquired Fusion5 from Waterman Private Equity 18 months ago with a strategy to drive organic and inorganic growth and we can expect more acquisitions over the next 1-2 years," he stated.
Since the start of the decade, Fusion5's acquisitions have included Optimum.consulting; IntegrationWorks; Vigilant.IT; Liberate I.T; Empyreal Solutions; and Mindfull.
