Fujifilm CodeBlue Australia said it has removed extended lock-in contracts from its managed IT services, marking a departure in an industry traditionally known for binding agreements.

The company, a subsidiary of Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia, will offer clients the freedom to leave without penalties, while providing the first month of end-user services free to new customers.

"Our no lock-in contract approach isn't just a business decision – it's a reflection of our culture," Stephen Sims, chief customer officer at Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia, said.

The move is aimed at addressing common industry frustrations such as reactive support, inflexible solutions, and hidden fees in traditional managed service contracts.

Fujifilm CodeBlue Australia said its new approach provides service assurance through a commitment to deliver outstanding service daily, without long-term obligations.

It allows businesses to scale their IT services based on evolving needs and provides transparent relationships for genuine partnerships driven by consistent performance and trust, Fujifilm CodeBlue Australia said.

Fujifilm CodeBlue Australia's acquisition by Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia in 2020. The company provides comprehensive IT support, cybersecurity measures, and strategic guidance to businesses.

Earlier this month, Brennan launched its "fixed fee, fixed outcome" project guarantee, in order to prevent cost overruns for digital transformation projects.

That move forms part of a wider restructure that brings Brennan's managed services and digital transformation offerings under a single brand.
